Why this is a favorite: I raced it with my sister Kathryn! We had such a good time biking and running together. She beat me on the swim (no surprise there, she's pretty much a dolphin, or a shark, or a fish. You know, something that swims really fast...) and then I caught her on the bike. We decided to finish it together and I'm so glad we did because we kept each other going at a good pace and it was just much more fun than finishing by yourself. Kathryn did 3 triathlons last summer and was also the swimmer for a team competing in the Xterra off road triathlon. She was the 6th swimmer (2nd woman swimmer) out of the water! That's out of 236 athletes. So awesome! And thus, their team took 3rd out of 26 coed teams. So, way to go Kat!
