Puddles, snow, kisses and cookies

Remy turned 14 months today.  She has 12 teeth with her bottom canines coming in right now.  Needless to say, we've been going through some serious teething the past few months.  But she's actually pretty good about it, and I have to tell this...one bad teething day she kept pointing to our cupboard that's full of her snacks and whining.  I figured she wanted a snack right?  I pulled out or pointed to everything in there and she didn't want any of it.  In my final attempt at learning what she wanted, I pointed to the infant's Motrin.  That was it!  The little smarty pants knew she needed something to knock out some of her pestering teething pain.

Remy loves baths and heads straight to the bathroom when I tell her it's time for her bath.  If it's an off night for bathing, we'll tell her to get her jammies because it's time for bed.  We have a drawer in our dresser that is just for some of her things, so she goes straight to the drawer, pulls out a couple of pairs of pajamas, decides which pair she'd like to wear, and brings them back to me, or else walks around the house trying to put them on herself.  She also likes to throw things in the garbage for me, help load and unload the dishwasher (which can be a pain sometimes...) and is generally such a happy, easy-going girl who loves to help and learn new things to do and touch around the house.  Lately she loves feeling all the different textures of our walls.  Everytime I carry her down our stairs, she has to touch the walls and the ceiling (it's extremely low in part of the stairwell where Todd and I actually have to tilt or bend our heads down so we don't bonk) and she just grins about it.

Remy has learned a few signs.  She knows drink (kind of), more, and please.  The please sign has been so nice.  I can already say to her, "what do you say?" when she is whining for something and she immediately quiets and rubs her belly and chest with both hands with a fake cheesy grin.  It's so so cute.  I'm going to have to get it on camera one of these days.

Anyway, that's a little bit about Remy right now.  Last week we had several nice warm days and here are some (way more than some, more like a ton of) shots from one of the days:

Puddles in the driveway!  Can it get any more fun than this?
Throwing rocks and washing up in the puddle.
Good splash!
I just love this shot.  Something about her stance and the wind blowing her whispy hair back.  Would you ever believe that I love taking pictures of this girl??
Apparently we didn't play much in the snow this winter.  Remy is discovering in these photos that it's actually COLD! Her muddy face from the puddle is the best.
She's so good at blowing kisses.  She will blow kisses for anyone that is saying good bye.

Yummy cookies!  See here for the recipe.  They are amazing.
I got this profile picture of Remy so I made a silhouette out of it.  I like it.  It may just go in my kitchen.

P.S. I'm still looking to buy a photo of the temple. Will you be selling any canvas pics soon?

So sweet. Love your journaling about Remy. And that you let her jump around in the mud puddles and that you take her out when it is still cold outside! The silhouette is too precious. Love that girl!

Ok those little hiking boots and darling jacket are to die for! So cute! But not nearly as cute as the girl they are on! What a doll! We are totally playing next week.
